Jane (BRADLEY) BRADLICK married James PRICE on the 24th July 1820 in Stoke Damerell, Devon. They were my 3 x Great-Grandparents.
On her marriage to James she is recorded as Jane BRADLEY of the Parish of Stoke Damerel, Devon. In 1841 there is of course no birthplace recorded on the census but her age is given as 40 so an approximate birthdate of 1801. In 1851 her census record states that she is 52 (1799) and born in Cornwall, Jula. Then on the 1861 census aged 67 (1794) born Cornwall, Dullow. There is neither a Jula or Dullow in Cornwall but there is however Duloe. A search through the baptismal records for Duloe, Cornwall records a Janefra BRADLICK , daughter of Nicholas and Susanna baptised on 15 January 1800.
The name BRADLICK is possibly derived from the village of Braddock in Cornwall. Variations of the name include BRADLEY, BRODLICK, BROADLICK, BRADLYE, BRADLACK, BRADLAKE, BRADLEIGH, BRADLIKE. I find the Bradlick family living mainly in and around Liskeard, Lanhydrock, Duloe, Lanreath and East and West Looe.

Jane (Janefra) was baptised at Duloe on 15 January 1800. On July 24 1820 at Stoke Damerel, Devon she married James PRICE who was stationed at the Barracks there. James was from Bristol and was serving in the Royal Sappers and Miners. Their first child Elizabeth was born in Devonport and baptised at Stoke Damerel on 3 December 1821. Jane then moved with James to Barracks at Chatham and probably lived in married Quarters at Frindsbury, Upnor, Kent. Jane and James had eight more children while James was stationed at Chatham: Mary, James, Susannah, Thomas, Charles, Jane, Catherine and Robert. They are recorded there in 1841 with their seven youngest children. James was discharged from the army in 1846 and the family went to live in Cardiff, Wales. Jane continues to live at 33 Wharton Street at a part called Golden Lion Court where in 1861 she is recorded as head of house, widow 67, mangler born Cornwall, Dullow with her is her daughter named on the census as Caroline but this was probably Catherine, unmarried, aged 21, dressmaker, born Kent, Frensboro. Just before this in 1859/1860 her eldest daughter Elizabeth joined her in Cardiff with her husband Robert DEANS and their family. Jane died in 1869 in Cardiff. See Price Family Page
Elizabeth was baptised on 14 June 1774 at Duloe Cornwall. Unusually, her mother's name is not recorded but her entry states "the bastard child of Nicholas Bradlick" It is not known if Elizabeth was brought up by Nicholas and then in turn by his wife Susannah CONGDON or by her birth mother. Maybe Susannah was her birth mother. There is an entry for a Elizabeth Bradlick marrying a Samuel COCK at Stoke Damerel on 6 November 1806.
I have one DNA link only to this family at the moment. Our shared ancestors being Nicholas Bradlick and Susannah Congdon.
